To continue our previous post, One Day In Phuket with the Kania’s - Part 1, we suggest you to read first the one before, and then continue with  this, Part 2. Therefore, you will learn and catch up better with whats have been spoken about our lessons learned from Phuket island. To read the previous post clic here

- Now that we assumed you have read it, Let's start Part 2,

Where we want to share with you more about our trip experience around Phuket island.

It has been mentioned before, we rented a motorbike to explore by ourselves faster the entire island. We only spent on for the rental and gas a total of 1,120 THB = 22 for 4 days and 3 night for the motorbike. we believe it is an amazing cheap price for all the kilometers we run with it. Take into consideration that renting a motorbike will facilitate avoiding traffic, in especial when you see in front of you about 30-40 cars in line, and with the motorbike you pass all of them until you head right to the front of the traffic light. #Priceless

Now let's keep pointing what we want this time to share with you.

1- BEACHES, BEACHES & SUNSETS.

If you go to Phuket you wont get tired of seeing beaches and viewpoints. Everyday before going to bed, we took a moment to have just an idea of where to plan our next day. Next mornings, we woke up early, had an amazing breakfast and rode our motorbike to our routes destinations by taking mostly the route coast and enjoy the views. We also took the strategy of not planning to much, but mostly to make informal stops in places that called our attention either to take pictures or to make some videos shots.

Related to this las point, we have a tiny problem, for us is bit difficult to integrate ourselves like many other people do. Selfie here, selfie there and appearing in ALL our pictures, we do not enjoy this at all. Sometimes we don't even take pictures of us together in places, because we enjoy lot much better by just being the ones behind our cameras or just the ones admiring the beauty. However, just because our followers were like who is the people behing this shots, we star to put more effort on letting the other know who we are, and to integrate our cutie faces on our posts.

Going back to Beaches, many of you who are an Instagram might have seen one of this famous beaches pictures where people is located behind the airport. Phuket airport is one of them. One day we took the road heading to the airport and from there, we made the coast all the way to the South. To be honest, the experience is totally not wow, however, the shots makes the place more impressive. Nonetheless, we couldn't understand how hotels locate themselves in such noisy areas.  The hotel next to the landing track, has even a water park next to it. Even, that all service areas are are directed to the landing track and the rooms to the opposite, I hope the hotel roos have good acoustic. Let's assume they do!

2- WATERFALLS ALL AROUND THE ISLAND.
That"s, something that for the Waterfall lovers is quite interesting. Thomas is one of those, he is always hunting them as he is so in love with water shots and bla, bla, bla... But if we ended going to all the waterfalls we would have lost the opportunity to enjoy more the sunsets, the beach coast and so. The problem is Thomas, and I are similar but different at the same time when comes to taste of what to do or where to go, even about how to make photo shots, therefore, we always tried to find a balance on how to do things to keep both of us happy and pleased. My interest where into go to the beach and see monkeys the five days, Thomas was interest on going to viewpoints and waterfalls. I go and take 400 shots, but Thomas takes 1000 shots, so i always end sitting on a side waiting the Mister to finished.

The Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife Sanctuary, was the cascade we visit. We did not plan to go here, but as it was on our way we where about to drive. I accepted to make a stop here us to make Thomas happy. The waterfall is located in the middle of a Big  into the wild?forest area, which for my surprise was really beautiful and they had Monkey reserve project area, which have an specific type of monkey almost extincted, so they try to take care, to reproduce their species until they are ready to be released on the wild forest.

It was a really nice stop, because there you can even jump on the cold waterfall pod and have nice shots of it. It was not in the plan to jump, but Thomas was taking so much time on his shots that i decided you know what "Imma jump", and i wait for him inside the water. At this stop we kill two bird with one un shot, as said in Spanish "Matamos dos pajaros de un tiro". Thomas ended happy with his waterfalls and me with seeing more monkey.

3- THINKING TO MAKE SOME TOUR?

Thomas and I, spent 5 days in Phuket. Our main goal was to explore the entire island by our own, no tour guide, just the two of us like always. We did not pursue to go on the several tour is offered for tourist, which is what makes any trip you do in life more expensive.  Therefore, on our five days in Phuket, we decided to dedicate one single day for a tour of those.

For our day tour we selected one of the most sounded tour that included different activities and that had the most sightseeing places. Therefore, we did the "Phang Nga Bay & James Bond Island", a tour for exploring the islands which conforms the entire so called Phang Na Bay, their caves sightseeing by pedal kayaks, lagoons and of course, were to enjoy the amazing views and nature landscapes rock formation, the view over the sea,

The tour takes you also to the known floating village, which is actually a Muslim village, walk around their narrowed floating paths and markets all around the path you walk until you get to the restaurant area where you have the opportunity to eat from the Buffet that is already included on the tour price.

Once you leave the floating village, you take back your way on you colorful boat to James Bond Island. That for Thomas and I, was like ok this is it?!? - It was actually not Wow for us, even if we did not visit it, we believe the tour would have been amazing without it. In general, the entire tour was amazingly good for the price you pay. Their are very professional with their work, cry organized and our tour guide, named Coco, was the best guide i had in my entire life:  friendly, attent and really professional with his job.

4- PATONG BEACH IS FOR PARTY PEOPLE

If you read Phuket post Part 1as it sounds, is how it is at nights. Before we ending our coast view tour and so, we head back to our hotel to relax a bit, had a bath as we ended so sweat and smelly that afternoon. Once we dressed, we took our motorcycle and ride all the way from Phuket Town to Patong Beach.

The area has its own peculiarity: Drinking, Party and dancing until the sun comes out.  There are two main streets that are impossible to miss when you are there. The Thanon Ratuthiht Songroipi Rd is the inside town street parallel to the beach, but not the one right in front it, which is the Thawewong Rd. The Thanon Ratuthit is a long street full of bars, restaurants, light and horrible traffic at nights.

The other main one, called Thanon Bangla is the walk-able street full of more bars, open to the street to call attention and where ladies or lady boys are dancing on the top of the bars holding their poles.
- Light your Lamps away. Do you know this paper lamps that are so famous i Thailand, which people light and release with the wind at night up the sky? - That's the ones I am talking about, Thailand has specific moments depending the cities you visit to make this night lights festivals. In the case of Chiang Mai, which for me is the most famous one, happened around end of November. I think is called the 21st full moon of their year, not sure. The thing is this light event happened before we were in Thailand. Like in the case of Phuket island, they also did this but guess what, after we left the island... If we knew this in time we would have arrange our flight differently just to catch up with this so beautiful event.

Even we ere not for this big events, we could enjoy the night we spent in Patong Beach, some tourist couples or group of friends who lighted their lamp. Thomas and I just stand looking and recording them and did not light one on the name of us. Why we did not? - Thomas I would say is less romantic than me, but surely if I would have decided to do it, he would followed me. However, I did not do it, because for me it would have been more meaningful to do it when are these big events happening as it is a more religious ritual and I believe it has a deeper sense to do it, and maybe we are very much blessed.  That's right I am a believer, and doing it just on the beach with no real monks, bless or so, would have for me the same sparks and feelings on it.

5- NEW YEAR'S EVE IN PHUKET TOWN.

It was an awesome experience, I felt totally like i was back home in Dominican Republic. The real plan was to expend the night at Patong Beach, as there is the most knowing party area in Phuket, are the amazing streets we spoke about on our previous post, and an electro concert stage located at the beach. However, our plans changed, as Patong is about 30-40 minutes drive with the motorbike, and due to rain that night we decided to spent the celebration in Phuket town where we also found night life and nice event for the New Year count down close to the Night Market area in Phuket Town.

6- UPSIDE-DOWN HOUSE CLOSE TO PHUKET TOWN.
The place the house is located is right to the main highway road which drives you like north to south of Phuket faster. What you first see is a house head down, but inside this land there are more attractions, like a 7D short filming area, a Labyrinth garden, and other stuff. Thomas and i just did the Upside/down house.
I had seen it so many times on picture in Instagram, so I was interest to see how it really looked and experience it.
For instance, what I found is more interesting on pictures than what you really get to see inside of it, I wanted to see more and though it would have bigger scenarios and crazy spaces to enjoy the fun.
